Deception is a 5-man tournament paintball team. The team was started by Chase DeBlois, a former member of Critical Hits, with help from Ethan Thibaudeau as a co-captain. They are based primarily in Manchester, NH, and have practices at their sponsored field OSG paintball and their backyard field. They play many tournaments throughout the year including the NEPL, OSG, and Planet Paintball tournament series.

Early in the beginning of the team, the goal was clear. To have a successful paintball team. They soon realized this would only be possible through hard work and dedication, in addition to teamwork, sportsmanship, and funding. Training, practice, and a willingness to learn became a must have attributes to a team member.

A subdivision of their team, Deception B, grew out of the need for backup players. They are a group of kids, not quite good enough to make the main team, but have the heart and dedication to become great paintball players. They enter tournaments as a separate team, usually in one division lower than the main team.

At the end of the 2006 season, the team name was changed to Deception, previously being known as Deep Deception.
